The planned annual production will be about 750,000 cubic meters of pine sawn goods. In terms of technology and efficiency, it will be a pioneer in the world. The use of machine vision and artificial intelligence at different stages of the sawmill process is a major innovation, and similar technology is not yet used anywhere else in the sawmill industry.
FinScan Oy supplies Rauma with state-of-the-art systems for measuring sawn timber to three different plants. BoardMaster NOVA-N GS4-220 quality systems for both green sorting plants, as well as BoardMaster NOVA-N FS4-220 quality system with MoistSpy-4 moisture meter for dry sorting plant. The measuring systems are scaled so that each of them can scan and optimize more than 200 pieces of sawn timber per minute. The deliveries include comprehensive software packages.
