MiCROTEC has launched a new deep learning platform, MiCROTEC Ai. The platform has been developed in close international cooperation of our experts, and it will serve as the basis of the artificial intelligence of all our quality scanners from now on. Deep learning artificial intelligence is a part of all MiCROTEC products from the log yard to further processing. The purpose is to raise the possibilities of the wood processing industry to a new level by utilizing artificial intelligence.
By using artificial intelligence in the log scanning, it is possible not only to accurately detect wood defects, but also to determine the exact volume of the wood in winter under snow and ice. In the scanning of sawn timber, artificial intelligence helps to get rid of grading into too low classes, and in further processing, artificial intelligence provides opportunities for, among other things, the production of certain types of aesthetically pleasing patterns.
